Established in 2013 and affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (Reg. No: MSU/CC/Courses/1080/2008), Sri Peththanakshi Amman Community College (SPAC College) is a beacon of hope and opportunity for underprivileged youth and adolescent girls in the southern districts of Tuticorin and Ramanathapuram. Operated under the noble guidance of the Sri Peththanakshi Amman Trust, our mission is to uplift, educate, and empower the most deserving sections of our society.

Headquartered in Madurai, with our campus located at Melmanthai in Tuticorin District, Sri Pethanatchi Amman Community College – spaccollege.com – has extended its educational services into rural and semi-rural areas that are often left behind in the mainstream educational landscape of Tamil Nadu.

At the heart of our mission at SPAC College is a deep commitment to empowering adolescent girls, especially those from marginalised communities, women-headed households, and economically challenged families. Many of our students are school dropouts or individuals who had to discontinue formal education due to socio-economic hardships. SPAC College Tuticorin acts as a second chance — a platform where these young minds can reconnect with their aspirations, build self-worth, and step confidently into a brighter future.

We offer a wide range of vocational training programs, both short-term and long-term, combined with life skill education, spoken English classes, computer literacy training, and tailoring courses. Since our inception, SPAC College has trained over 200 young women, enabling them to secure employment, launch their own micro-enterprises, or pursue further studies. Our career-focused curriculum is supported by qualified educators, industry partnerships, and internship opportunities with reputed hospitals and organizations in Tamil Nadu—ensuring that students at SPAC College, Tuticorin gain both theoretical knowledge and real-world experience.

To Deliver Job-Oriented Vocational Education

Design and implement short-term and long-term training programs in areas like healthcare, lab technology, radiology, and operation theatre assistance, tailored to match local job market demands.

To Support Educational Continuity for Dropouts

Offer flexible educational pathways and second-chance learning opportunities for students, especially girls who have discontinued formal schooling due to financial or social barriers.

To Foster Holistic Development Through Life Skills

Conduct structured life skills programs focused on communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and confidence-building. Special emphasis is placed on spoken English and digital literacy, preparing students for modern workplaces.

To Establish Industry & Hospital Linkages for Practical Exposure

Build partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and industries to facilitate internships, hands-on training, and placement support for students.
